In 2012, Digerati leveraged its successful track record as a publicly-traded company to diversify into other industries and provide growth companies in other sectors with access to liquidity and the capital markets.  Through the acquisition of a waste disposal and oilfield services business, the Company diversified into the oil and gas industry in November 2012.
Digerati's oil field services subsidiaries were both located in the Bakken, one of the most important oil fields in the world today.  Its waste disposal facility with a 25 year track record, focused on disposing of solid and liquid wastes from oil field and drilling processes.  Its former subsidiary operated a permitted special waste landfill located in northwestern North Dakota near the Montana border in the heart of the Bakken Shale play.  The Company’s other former subsidiary functioned as a drilling site service and support business providing everything from skid houses, telecommunication services, booster booths, Porta-Potties, generators, potable water, and mess halls in service to many of the major drilling contractors and oil companies in the Bakken.  The Company sold its ownership interest in both businesses in July 2014.
